Veneers for Crowded Teeth / Misalignment

If you are not happy with your smile due to crowded teeth or misaligned teeth, you may be a good candidate for our custom porcelain veneers. Dental crowding is a type of malocclusion where teeth push on each other causing them to move out of the dental arch. One tooth might appear forward and the other tooth might appear in the back where it is almost hidden.

Crowding or misalignment of teeth can be caused by multitude of factors:

  • SMALL JAW AND LARGE TEETH: Crowding can occur when your jaw is smaller but your teeth are bigger in proportion to each other, not giving your teeth space to align properly causing overlap and misalignment.

  • EARLY LOSS OF BABY TEETH: If you lose your baby teeth earlier than expected to caries or trauma, the adjacent teeth tend to close surrounding spaces.

  • TEETH SHAPE ANOMALY: Sometimes teeth are misshaped where they are either too narrow or too wide causing movement of adjacent teeth.

  • TOOTH ANKYLOSIS AND OVER RETENTION OF TEETH: At times baby teeth get fused with the bone due to either trauma or unknown factors and are retained for either a longer period of time or throughout adulthood causing the permanent erupting teeth to crowd because of limited space availability.

  • IMPACTED TEETH: There are times when permanent teeth do not erupt causing misalignment of teeth also.
